Injection Molded Set Point Knobs, Spacer Bellows and Casting Bases for the Oil & Gas Industry

As injection molding specialists, KRC Custom Manufacturing can economically manufacture parts of various sizes and quantities. The set point knobs, spacer bellows, and casting bases pictured here represent a variety of similar-type products we produce in our facility on an everyday basis.

For these parts, we dried 40% long-fiber glass filled black polypropylene for 2-4 hours at 180° to properly prepare it for the injection molding process. We utilized 60 and 230 ton presses for manufacture and inspected the finished parts to ensure they were free from flash, underfill, and burn marks. An additional milling operation was executed on the set point knobs to remove the sprue from the part.

With applications in level, pressure, and temperature control products, as well as in valves and regulators, we produce these products to withstand the environmental exposures of the chemical, power generation, and oil & gas processing industries. Typical volume averages 2,000 units/year, and typical turnaround times average less than one week.
